Laurie Bowman is passionate about creating value for shareholders and communities through project planning and stakeholder engagement. He is an advisor and accredited trainer with Synchrony Projects, where he focuses on helping clients enhance their capabilities in project planning, risk management, and performance management, leading to successful project, program, portfolio, and organizational outcomes.

With 30 years of experience in engineering and management roles on complex, multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects, Laurie facilitates training and certification preparation workshops on project planning, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and performance management for projects, programs, and portfolios. Complementing his technical expertise, he currently serves as Director at Large with PMI Queensland and has previously served on the board of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE) International as the International Director for Australasia and the Pacific Rim.

Laurie is a Chartered Engineer, an Engineering Executive, and a Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. He is also a member of the Standards Australia technical committee for various portfolio and project management standards related to project planning, risk, and performance management. Additionally, he is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors course, holds a master’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in commercial law, and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and has pursued extensive studies in risk management and systems leadership.
